So, every now and again (okay, probably everyday) we come across a website that we have bookmarked but haven’t used in a while that needs username and password information. Chances are, in our ever-aging minds, we’ve forgotten that username and password (for those of you who are laughing because you use the same login info for everything are in bigger trouble than those who forget their various different ones) and that probably pisses you off! Well, never fear, Sxipper is here!
Sxipper is a Firefox extension that allows you to store all your sensitve usernames and passwords on your computer in an encrypted file. Not only does it store your logins, it will fill out address forms and basically insert any personal information you would ever need to provide to a website (minus your credit card information and things of that nature). Now what separates Sxipper from the run of the mill password keeper is its ability to recognize pages that require your information. When you come across a page that needs login info or has forms, a nice little window will appear where you can choose which information you would like to apply to that page and all you need to do is point and click.
Once the extension is installed, a nice little demo window will pop-up and guide you through the data collection process and show you exactly what this nifty little tool can do for you! I’ve been monkeying with it here for the last little while and it seems like a worthy extension so go try it for yourself and never be caught without your login info again!
